Attack acquire forward Masen Wray
The Owen Sound Attack added some depth to their forward ranks on Monday, acquiring 18-year-old winger Masen Wray in a trade with the Niagara IceDogs. Owen Sound sent a seventh round pick in 2026 back the other way.
“Masen will bring a great work ethic with tremendous size and ability to our lineup,” said Attack GM Dale DeGray when asked about the trade. “He will add to our depth immediately as well as moving forward with the young group we have. We look forward to seeing Masen in an Attack jersey on Wednesday night.”
A 6-foot-4, 185Ib. centreman from North Bay, Ont., Wray joins the Attack having produced seven points (3-4–7) over 27 games in Niagara so far this season. Originally Hamilton’s second round (49th overall) pick in 2022, Wray has collected 25 points (10-15–25) over 144 regular season games between Hamilton, Brantford and Niagara.
The third-year forward is the son of Attack head coach Scott Wray, who himself played in the OHL from 1996-2000 before graduating to a lengthy professional career spent largely in the now-defunct Central Hockey League.
The Attack return to the Bayshore on Wednesday, playing host to the Guelph Storm at 7:00pm.
