67’s Will Gerrior commits to University of Maine
Ottawa 67’s forward Will Gerrior has announced his commitment to the University of Maine for the 2025-26 season.
An Ottawa, Ont. native, the overage winger will head to Orono, Maine to join the Black Bears. This season, the 20-year-old has recorded 27 points (21 goals, 6 assists) in 35 games played.
Selected in the ninth round, 180th overall of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection, Gerrior has been a consistent contributor for the 67’s, amassing 69 goals, 58 assists, and 127 points across 235 regular season games throughout four seasons in Ottawa. The 5-foot-10, 179lb. forward has also appeared in 25 playoff contests for the 67’s, tallying eight goals, six assists and 14 points.
The University of Maine, located in Orono, has a storied hockey program, having developed NHL talents such as Paul Kariya, a NHL Hall of Famer and former Hart Trophy winner, along with goaltender Ben Bishop. Maine has won two Division I national championships in men’s ice hockey, in 1993 and 1999.
