67’s Jacob Maillet commits to STFX X-Men
The St. Francis Xavier University men’s hockey program has announced that Ottawa 67’s overage forward Jacob Maillet has committed for the 2024-25 season.
A 21-year-old from Dundas, Ont., Maillet completed a four-year OHL tenure split between the Guelph Storm, Windsor Spitfires and Ottawa 67’s, registering 52 goals, 120 assists and 172 points in 256 regular season games played. Maillet added an additional 20 points (4-16-20) in 39 playoff contests.
Originally selected by the Guelph Storm in the second round (39th overall) of the 2019 OHL Priority Selection, the 6-foot-1, 193lb. centreman was crowned a Western Conference champion with the Spitfires in 2022, falling short the the Hamilton Bulldogs in Game 7 of the OHL Championship Series.
