67’s’ Garreffa records 300th career point
Ottawa 67’s forward Joseph Garreffa joined the OHL’s 300 career point club on Friday, registering a career-high five points as the CHL’s top-ranked 67’s defeated the Soo Greyhounds 5-4 in overtime.
Garreffa scored the OT winner, completing a hat-trick along with two assists as the Barber Poles bounced back from an uncharacteristic three consecutive losses.

A 5-foot-7, 176Ib. winger from Toronto, Ont., Garreffa’s 300 points have come between four seasons with the Kitchener Rangers as well as an overage campaign spent in Ottawa. The feat is particularly impressive from Garreffa, who spent some time back on the blue line during his tenure in Kitchener.
Acquired from the Rangers early in the season, Garreffa has 78 points (31-47–78) through 44 games with the 67’s this season, giving him 103 goals, 200 assists and 300 points over 289 regular season games.
Kitchener selected Garreffa in the third round of the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. He attended rookie camp with the Los Angeles Kings last September.
