2026 OHL In The System: St. Louis Blues

Today, we take a look at the St. Louis Blues’ OHL prospect pool.

 

Carter Stevens (RW) – Guelph Storm (2024-26)

Selected: 5th Round, 150th Overall (2026)

OHL Career Stats: 119 GP, 33G, 29A, 62 PTS, -23

Age: 18

The St. Louis Blues selected Guelph Storm right-winger Carter Stevens in the fifth round after the Almonte, Ont., product produced 20 goals as a sophomore in 2025-26. The 6-foot-1, 184Ib. Stevens produced 36 points (20-16–36) for the Storm and will return to compete for a Memorial Cup in 2026-27.

 

Colin Fitzgerald (C) – Peterborough Petes (2024-26), Soo Greyhounds (2025-26) 

Selected: 7th Round, 203rd Overall (2026)

OHL Career Stats: 111 GP, 27G, 34A, 61 PTS, -44

Age: 18

Selected in the seventh round of the 2026 NHL Draft, Colin Fitzgerald split the season between Peterborough and the Soo Greyhounds after a November trade. The 18-year-old forward finished with 33 points (15-18–33) in 63 regular-season games.

 

Adam Jiricek (D) – Brantford Bulldogs (2024-26)

Selected: 1st Round, 16th Overall (2024)

OHL Career Stats: 82 GP, 23G, 48A, 71 PTS, +41

Age: 20

Coming off a career-best season in Brantford, Adam Jiricek more than tripled his offensive production from the previous year, finishing with 59 points (19-40–59) from the blueline before adding another 22 points in 15 playoff games. He earned his first career call-up to the Springfield Thunderbirds at the end of the season. Internationally, he has represented Team Czechia at back-to-back IIHF World Junior Championships.

 

Lukas Fischer (D) – Sarnia Sting (2022-26), Soo Greyhounds (2025-26)

Selected: 2nd Round, 56th Overall (2024)

OHL Career Stats: 231 GP, 32G, 93A, 125 PTS, -22

Age: 19

Lukas Fischer spent the 2025-26 OHL season continuing to build his reputation as a reliable two-way blueliner. He began the year as captain of the Sarnia Sting, recording 26 points (5-21-26) in 39 games while logging significant minutes on the back end. The Brighton, MI native was dealt to the Soo Greyhounds halfway through the season, where he provided a steady presence on the blue line and added 19 points (3-15-19) in 26 regular-season games. He then earned his second career call-up to the Thunderbirds at the end of the season. 

 

Quinton Burns (D) – Kingston Frontenacs (2021-25)

Selected: 3rd Round, 74th Overall (2023)

OHL Career Stats: 220 GP, 16G, 101A, 117 PTS, +10

Age: 21

In his first professional season with Springfield, Quinton Burns led the T-Birds with 92 penalty minutes in just 31 games in 2025-26, while also contributing five assists. The former Fronts captain also dressed in 16 games for the ECHL’s Florida Everblades, tallying six points (1-5–6).

 

Matthew Mayich (D) – Ottawa 67’s (2021-25)

Selected: 6th Round, 170th Overall (2023)

OHL Career Stats: 256 GP, 21G, 78A, 99 PTS, +10

Age: 21

After completing his OHL career with the Ottawa 67’s, Matthew Mayich spent the 2025-26 season at Clarkson University, recording 15 points (7-8–15) in 34 games. He will transfer to Arizona State University for 2026-27.

 

Michael Buchinger (D) – Guelph Storm (2021-24)

Selected: 3rd Round, 88th Overall (2022)

OHL Career Stats: 176 GP, 30G, 128A, 158 PTS, +2

Age: 22

In his second full season with Springfield, Michael Buchinger recorded a career-high 11 points (6-5–11) in 56 regular-season games. 

 

Will Cranley (G) – Ottawa 67’s (2018-22), Flint Firebirds (2022-23)

Selected: 6th Round, 163rd Overall (2020)

OHL Career Stats: 117 GP, 3.61 GAA, .881 SV%, 53-45-7-3

Age: 24

Will Cranley enters his fourth professional season after an impressive 2025-26 campaign in which he earned ECHL All-Star honours by posting a 14-3-1 record, a .915 save percentage and a 2.17 goals-against average with the Florida Everblades. Following his promotion to Springfield, Cranley went 6-4-0 with a 3.03 goals-against average and a .892 save percentage to close the season.
