Rocco and Danielle Tullio recognized with Outstanding Philanthropist Award
Every year the Association of Fundraising Professionals looks for nominations for its six awards. The organization looks for people who have shown leadership in giving back to the community and are involved with many organizations. Since 2001, the Association of Fundraising Professionals Canada South Chapter has been awarding leadership in philanthropy. On Friday at Caesars Windsor, the recipients received a handmade tsunami glass award while joining a list of extraordinary contributors across Canada.
Rocco Tullio, owner of the Oshawa Generals Hockey Club and his wife Danielle, are caring individuals who devote much of their time towards helping others. They have been recognized with a prestigious award for their Philanthropy work with the Windsor Essex Foundation.

Rocco and Danielle Tullio received the Outstanding Philanthropist Award at the 2016 Philanthropy Day Awards for Windsor-Essex Community Foundation in Windsor, hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals on November 17, 2016.
The couple has recently helped the Downtown Mission and recently donated money to a Leamington boy needing a prosthetic leg.
“We are humbled, we weren’t planning on receiving an award. We feel like we are in a position where we can sacrifice time to help others. We are fortunate and any time we can help, we do. We were excited and honored to receive this award,” Rocco Tullio said of the honour.
