Preseason Report: September 7th, 2025
Barrie Colts vs. Owen Sound Attack
Final: 4 (OS) – 1 (BAR)
- The Attack grabbed a 2-1 lead after the first period and never looked back
- Landon Jackman (1G, 1A) and Lenny Greenberg (2A) led the way offensively for Owen Sound
- Jonah McCormick (1) had the lone marker for Barrie in the opening frame
- Despite 12 penalties assessed throughout the game, both teams went scoreless on the man advantage
- The Attack split goaltending duties between Matthew Koprowski and Cater George in the win
Kingston Frontenacs vs. Peterborough Petes
Final: 3 (KGN) – 2 (PBO)
- First overall pick, Kaden McGregor, scored his first preseason goal to give the Petes a one-goal lead heading into the first intermission
- Tomas Pobezal (2) and Andrew Kuzma (1) scored back-to-back goals in the middle frame to put Kingston ahead
- Goaltender Matthew Minchak turned aside 32 shots to preserve the victory
Windsor Spitfires vs. Saginaw Spirit
Final: 7 (WSR) – 3 (SAG)
- Spitfires captain Liam Greentree put on a show, recording a five-point night (4G, 1A) to power Windsor past Saginaw
- Jean-Christoph Lemieux (1G, 1A), John McLaughlin (1G, 1A), and Jack Nesbitt (1G, 1A) all contributed, while Caden Harvey and Carson Woodall added two assists apiece
- For Saginaw, Levi Harper (1G, 1A) and Dimian Zhilkin (1G, 1A) had multi-point outings
- Zhilkin also added to his preseason-leading goal total with his sixth
Guelph Storm vs. Oshawa Generals
Final: 4 (GUE) – 1 (OSH)
- The Storm responded to an early Oshawa goal with four straight tallies to complete the comeback win
- Lucas Teixeira (1) opened the scoring for the Generals, but Guelph’s offence came alive in the final 40 minutes
- Second overall pick Jaakko Wycisk netted his third of the preseason
- Rowan Topp and Simon Belohorsky both finished with a goal and an assist
- Despite the loss, goaltender Andrew Bondarev was sharp with 38 saves as Guelph outshot Oshawa 42–20
