10 OHL Players named to USA Hockey Hlinka Gretzky Cup Selection Camp

Ten OHL players have been invited by USA Hockey to its Hlinka Gretzky Cup Selection Camp, set to take place from July 28-August 3, at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan.

The players are looking to earn a spot on the final 23-player U.S. Under-18 Men’s Select Team that will compete at the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup in Brno, Czechia, and Trenčín, Slovakia, from August 11-16.

Among those ten players are two who appeared in games for their OHL Clubs in 2024-25.

2024 OHL Priority Selection pick Brooks Rogowski made an impact in his rookie season with the Oshawa Generals. The Brighton, MI native appeared in 66 regular season games, recording 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points. He added six points (3-3-6) in 19 playoff games during Oshawa’s second straight run to the J. Ross Robertson Cup Final. The 17-year-old forward was recognized as the OHL’s Academic Player of the Month for November. Rogowski was selected in the second round, 38th overall, by the Generals in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection.

Clarkston, Michigan native Trevor Theuer signed an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Saginaw Spirit after being selected in the 10th round of the 2024 OHL Priority Selection. Theuer split time during the 2024-25 season between the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies U16 AAA program, the U.S. National U17 Team, and USNTDP Juniors, combining for 22 points (8-14–22) across 30 games. He also suited up in six OHL games with Saginaw. Known for his work ethic and leadership, Theuer captained the Detroit Honeybaked 15U team in 2023-24, leading the way with 69 points (24-45–69) in 56 games.
