Greyhounds’ Hayes named to USA Hockey’s 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup roster
Soo Greyhounds forward Travis Hayes has been selected as one of 23 players to represent USA Hockey at the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup.
The 16-year-old will make his international debut with the U.S. Under-18 Select Team, competing in the tournament from August 5-10, 2024, in Edmonton, Alberta.
The rookie from Westland, MI. found success with the Hounds this season, registering 14 goals, 21 assists and 35 points in 58 regular season games played. Hayes was selected in the second round, 25th overall by the Soo in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection from the Compuware 15U AAA program.
Team USA’s Hlinka Gretzky Cup games will be televised live on NHL Network. The team opens play in the tournament August 5 against Czechia at 5:30 p.m. ET.
