- Alex Christopoulos scored twice in his first meeting against his former club, netting the overtime winner
- Nic Sima tied the score at five with 7:40 remaining in the third period
- Dean Loukus and Sebastien Gervais each had two helpers for Saginaw
- Ryan Abraham picked up a goal and two assists for the Spits, earning second star honours
- Calem Mangone was held off the scoresheet, snapping his 10 game point streak
