Wednesday Highlights: Hounds and Rangers improve to 3-0
Soo Greyhounds 3 vs. London Knights 2 – SO
- Jack Beck, the newest member of the Soo Greyhounds, came up with the shootout winner to help the Soo improve to 3-0 to start the season
- Trailing 2-1, rookie Travis Hayes scored his fourth goal of the young season on a nice setup by Christopher Brown
- Detroit Red Wings prospect Andrew Gibson scored his first of the season for the Greyhounds
- Max McCue and Sam O’Reilly were London goal-scorers
- Charlie Schenkel stopped all three London shooters he faced opposite Owen Willmore, who made 24 saves in his first start of the season
- Greyhounds rookie Brady Martin was out of the lineup and is considered week-to-week with an injury

Kitchener Rangers 3 vs. Sarnia Sting 1
- Adrian Misaljevic and Carson Rehkopf put the Rangers up 2-0 midway through the second as they’d outshoot Sarnia 26-16 in the road win
- Sting rookie James Barr scored his first OHL goal
- Tristan Malboeuf made 15 saves for his first win as a Ranger opposite Sarnia’s Nick Surzycia, who made 23 saves
- Sarnia went 0-for-6 on the power play to Kitchener’s 1-for-2
- Easton Wainwright, Carson Hall and Josh Hoover remained out of the Sarnia lineup with injuries
