Tristan Lennox First Career Shutout
TRISTAN LENNOX (SAGINAW SPIRIT):
Sixteen-year-old Tristan Lennox became the youngest goaltender in Saginaw Spirit history to earn his first OHL shutout, stopping all 23 shots he faced in a 5-0 blanking of the visiting Flint Firebirds on Sunday. Lennox improved to 2-1-1-1 with a 2.38 goals-against average and .906 save percentage. The 16-year-old from Cambridge, Ont. has split the season between Saginaw and the Brantford 99ers Jr. A club where he went 4-7-0-0 with a 3.74 goals-against average and .918 save percentage over 11 games. Saginaw’s second round pick this past Spring, Lennox is a graduate of the Mississauga Reps Minor Midget program and won’t be NHL Draft eligible until 2021. Lennox represented Team Canada White at the 2018 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
