Fischer uses a strong first pass to start offensive attacks. Skating is excellent, and he is at his best when he uses his skating ability to join the rush. Excellent on his edges, he can evade pressure with a variety of escape moves. In the deal, Sudbury acquired a 2027 Brampton 14th-round draft pick in exchange for a 2026 Sudbury 14th-round draft pick.  Later in the afternoon, at 3:00 PM, Sudbury completed a second trade with Brantford. The club acquired a 2027 Brantford 15th-round draft pick in exchange for a 2026 Brantford 13th-round draft pick.  The day's activity concluded at 3:30 PM with another transaction involving Brantford. He was acquired by the Wolves as part of a blockbuster trade involving Nathan Villeneuve and Alex Pharand.  Since joining Sudbury following the OHL trade deadline, Lemieux has made an immediate impact. In 23 games with the Wolves, he has recorded 10 goals and 15 assists for 25 points, good for a 1.09 points-per-game average, showcasing his ability to produce offensively at the OHL level.  In addition to his offensive contributions, Lemieux is known for his strong work ethic and physical style of play, making him a difficult opponent to compete against on a nightly basis.  In addition to his strong regular season, Lemieux enjoyed a tremendous postseason. In four games, he recorded 2 goals and 1 assist. Gonchar’s offensive production and consistent impact made him a key contributor all season long.  Rowan Henderson was honoured with the Leadership Award after appearing in 62 games and recording 12 goals and 20 assists, while also setting the standard for professionalism and work ethic. Henderson was also recognized as the team’s Best Defensive Player for his strong presence in all three zones.  The Scholastic Award was presented to Brady Smith, recognizing his commitment to excellence in the classroom.  Voted by his teammates, Chase Coughlan earned the Joe Drago Players’ Player Award after posting 18 goals and 15 assists in 59 games. Coughlan was also named the team’s Top Plus-Minus Player and recipient of the Community Service Award, highlighting his contributions both on and off the ice.  The Gord Ewin Most Improved Player Award was awarded to Ethan Dean, who demonstrated significant growth over the season, finishing with 6 goals and 9 assists in 67 games.  On the blue line, Gavin Ewles was named Top Defenceman, recording 4 goals and 10 assists in 67 games while providing steady play on the back end.  Offensively, Jan Chovan captured both the Bill Plaunt Top Scorer Award and Most Goals Award, tallying 28 goals and 27 assists in 60 games. Before the postseason begins, the Wolves will look to build momentum heading into the playoffs. This Friday marks the Wolves’ final home game of the regular season, proudly sponsored by the YMCA. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. as the Wolves welcome the Brampton Steelheads, looking to bounce back after a tough loss on Monday afternoon. Following Friday’s game, the team will travel to North Bay to close out the 2025–26 regular season.  Friday’s game will be a special one. Prior to puck drop, the Wolves will recognize their overage players who are playing in their final OHL regular season home game. We will be celebrating forward Chase Coughlan and defenceman Gavin Ewles. We thank both players for their leadership and commitment to the team during their time with the Wolves.  Last Wednesday night, the Wolves traveled to Oshawa to take on the Generals and came away with a 5–4 comeback victory. The Slovakian duo of Adam Nemec and Jan Chovan combined for four third-period goals to lead the team to the win. In net, goaltender Paolo Frasca made 38 saves on 42 shots.  The Wolves hit the road Sunday, March 22 when they battle their highway 17 rivals the North Bay Battalion.
