Wolves Host Spirit Friday
(GREATER SUDBURY, ON) The Sudbury Wolves return home to host the Saginaw Spirit on Friday, February 16th at 7:05 PM.
Wolves captain David Goyette moves into first place in league scoring with 85 points. Goyette was named OHL Player of the Week, recording 3 goals and 6 assists in 3 games. Quentin Musty also had a fantastic couple of games, combining for 6 points (2G-4A) in 2 games, including his overtime winner against the Steelheads on Sunday. Other notable players last week include Donovan McCoy and Dalibor Dvorsky, who combined for 4-points each in 3 games.
The Saginaw Spirit enter Friday’s game 1st in the West Division and 2nd in the Western Conference. The Spirit’s talent includes NHL prospects Owen Beck (MLT), Joey Willis (NSH), Josh Bloom (VAN), Matyas Sapovaliv (VGK), Hunter Haight (MIN), Ethan Hay (TB), Braden Hache (FLA), Jorian Donovan (OTT), Rodwin Dionicio (ANA), and Nolan Lalonde (CBJ). In addition to, Micheal Misa 1st overall pick in the 2022 OHL priority selection and the 19th overall selection, Zayne Parekh. Friday’s game should have the makings of an OHL cup final preview. The Spirit are backed by goaltender Andrew Oke, who is ranked 3rd in the OHL with a 2.97 GAA, 0.891 SAV% and 22 wins.
