Wolves Host Knights Friday
(Greater Sudbury, ON) – The Sudbury Wolves are back on home ice this Friday, as they host the London Knights at the Sudbury Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
With a current record of 22-15-5-0, the Wolves sit 3rd in the competitive Central Division, looking to solidify their position and continue their push toward a higher playoff seed. The team is determined to rebound from a challenging stretch and will be looking for a strong collective effort this Friday night to set the tone heading into the final stretch of the season.
Since the trade deadline, Sudbury’s lineup has been boosted by the addition of two highly skilled defensemen, Henry Mews and Noah Roberts. Both have made an immediate impact, combining for 10 points in just five games. Their presence has already begun to strengthen the Wolves’ defensive core. This past weekend, Henry Mews and Nathan Villeneuve each registered multi-point performances, while rookie forward Rowen Henderson scored Sudbury’s lone goal in a loss to the Knights on Sunday.
Leading the charge for Sudbury is Winnipeg Jets prospect Kieron Walton, who has been on fire all season with 70 points (27G, 43A). Walton currently ranks 4th in the OHL for points and 3rd in assists. Meanwhile, newly acquired Calgary Flames prospect Henry Mews has posted an impressive 58 points (12G, 46A), currently ranking as the OHL’s top-scoring defenseman and leading the league in assists.
Friday’s game will be proudly presented by Q92, Sudbury’s ROCK station. Q92 will be on-site with exciting prizes and giveaways for lucky fans, adding extra energy to the evening.
