Wolves Complete Trade with Niagara
(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury Wolves have completed a trade with the Niagara IceDogs ahead of the 2024-2025 OHL season. The Wolves receive a 15th round pick in 2026 (NIA) and three conditional picks a 4th round pick in 2026 (SAG), a 3rd round pick in 2027 (NB), a 5th round pick in 2028 (NIA) in exchange for over age defenceman, Noah Van Vliet and a 15th round pick in 2026 (SBY).
“We thank Noah for his time in Sudbury. He is a tremendous person, and we wish him well in his overage year,” said Wolves VP and General Manager Rob Papineau. “We are excited for camp next week and our group of OA players coming back to lead our team. Kočha Delić, Donovan McCoy and Nicholas DeAngelis are all very high-end overage players and leaders. We were able to move 3 of our overage players this summer and were able to acquire 12 excellent draft picks for them which will really help as we move forward.”
Noah has played 32 regular season games and 9 playoff games for the Wolves after acquiring him from the Bulldogs during the 2024 trade deadline. The 6’3 blueliner has recorded a total of 7 points (2G-5A), and 12 penalty minutes through his time in Sudbury. The Sudbury Wolves thank him for his dedication and commitment to the club and would like to wish him the best of luck in his future hockey career.
