Wolves Announce 2024-25 Season
(Greater Sudbury, ON) – The Sudbury Wolves, in conjunction with the Ontario Hockey League, are pleased to announce the 2024-25 season schedule. The Wolves will play 68 regular season games, with 34 slated at home in the Sudbury Community Arena.
The Wolves open the season at home which is set for Friday, September 27th, a Central Division showdown against the Barrie Colts.
The club’s home schedule will feature 20 Fridays, 8 Sundays, 5 Wednesdays, and 1 Saturday game. Evening games will start at 7:05pm, while Sunday’s will feature a 2:05pm puck drop. Fans can look forward to the return of Jr. Wolves Sundays, FREE Parking Wednesdays, a Bobblehead Night, Fan Appreciation Night and much more!
“We look forward to our home opener and getting the 2024-25 season underway,” said Sudbury Wolves VP and General Manager Rob Papineau. “With the draft picks we have been able to accumulate, our plan is to support our returning players to be a highly competitive team. Papineau adds, “not counting the ’21-’22 season after COVID where we played 4 teams 40 times in the unbalanced schedule, since the 2018-2019 season we have the second best regular season record in the Eastern Conference and look to add the right pieces to give our fans another competitive team this year.”
The Wolves are set to have an exciting season with a team that will feature the likes of Chicago Blackhawks prospect Alex Pharand, San Jose Sharks prospect Quentin Musty, and 2024 NHL Draft eligible players Nathan Villeneuve, and Kieron Walton. The team will also feature Wolves 2024 first round selection Luca Blonda and second round selection Ethan Dean.
