Wolves Acquire Molnar from Otters
(Greater Sudbury, ON) – The Sudbury Wolves announce the acquisition of Slovakian forward Ondrej Molnar from the Erie Otters. In exchange for two conditional future 3rd round picks, the Wolves are adding Molnar to their roster.
“Ondrej is a player we have been very high since his draft year,” said Sudbury Wolves VP & General Manager Rob Papineau. “He is an outstanding skater and is an offensive threat with a nose for the net. We are very excited to add him to our team”
Molnar was selected fifth overall by the Otters in the 2022 CHL Import Draft. He brings valuable OHL experience, having played 100 games and recorded 71 points (23 goals, 28 assists).
Ondrej has also represented Slovakia at the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup for two consecutive years (2021-2023) and played for HK Nitra in the Tipos Extraliga, Slovakia’s top professional league, where he registered five points (2 goals, 3 assists) in 22 games.
Ondrej is expected to hit the road with the Wolves this weekend, with games in Kitchener, Brantford, and Niagara. Fans can follow the action live on CKLU 96.7, mixlr.com/sudburywolves, or watch on CHL TV at watch.chl.ca.
