The Sudbury Wolves are set for an Exciting Home Opener!
(GREATER SUDBURY, ON) — The Sudbury Wolves have officially concluded their 2026 preseason following a 4-3 loss to the Kingston Frontenacs in Newmarket, Ontario, on Saturday. Despite being short-handed with several veterans away at NHL camps, the Wolves put together a strong effort. Kingston Harris, Parker Smith, and Genc Ula each found the back of the net for Sudbury.
The Wolves finished the preseason with a respectable 3-3-0-0 record, earning victories over the Barrie Colts, Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, and North Bay Battalion.
Parker Smith, Brayden Bennett, Hudson Martin, and Colton Colby led the Wolves in preseason scoring, with each player recording four points. With the regular season approaching, the Wolves will now turn their attention to finalizing the 2026-27 roster.
The Wolves will officially kick off the regular season with their Home Opener on Friday, September 18, when they welcome the Peterborough Petes to the Sudbury Community Arena. Puck Drop is scheduled for 7:05 P.M. The game is proudly sponsored by The Independent Grocer!
Fans are encouraged to arrive early and take part in the second annual Howlapalooza, running from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Grey Street. The event will feature activities for fans of all ages, including face painting, a kids zone, street entertainment, games, giveaways, and more. With the regular season just around the corner, the Wolves are ready to bring the excitement back to the Sudbury Community Arena and kick off the 2026-27 campaign in front of their home fans.
The Wolves are introducing several exciting new concession options for the 2026-27 season, including the BREWT, the Wolves’ very own beer steel toe boot available to fans 19+. Please drink responsibly.
Fans can also enjoy a new Doritos Loaded Walking Taco, available with Doritos Nacho Cheese or Tostitos Rounds.
