Sudbury Wolves Host Battalion and Petes in Doubleheader Weekend
(Greater Sudbury, ON) – The Sudbury Wolves are back in the DEN this weekend for a doubleheader, welcoming the North Bay Battalion on Friday, January 5th, and the Peterborough Petes on Sunday, January 7th. Friday’s game is set for a 7:00 PM puck drop, while Sunday’s game will start at 2:05 PM.
Currently sitting in 3rd place in the Central Division and 5th in the Eastern Conference, the Wolves (17-10-5-0) are in the midst of a competitive race for playoff positioning. With critical matchups ahead, both games this weekend are pivotal as Sudbury looks to build on their strong play and continue their push toward the postseason.
Kieron Walton has been one of the standout performers for the Wolves this season, with 54 points (19 goals, 35 assists). Walton ranks 5th in league scoring and 2nd in assists, making him a key contributor to Sudbury’s success. Other notable players include Kocha Delic (34 points: 9 goals, 25 assists) and Alex Pharand (33 points: 15 goals, 18 assists), both of whom have been integral to the team’s offensive depth.
Friday’s game against the North Bay Battalion is proudly presented by Eastlink and will also be the Hockey Fights Cancer game. Fans are encouraged to visit the Hockey Fights Cancer table located in the lower concourse to learn more about how they can support this important cause.

In addition to the game, Sunday is also Jr. Wolves Sunday, providing fans with the chance to skate with the team after the game. Following the final buzzer, Dressing Room 1 will open for a post-game skate, and fans can take photos at the team benches once the Zamboni has finished its work. To participate, all fans must wear skates, and everyone is invited to join in the fun.
