Regular Season Concludes with Den Doubleheader
(Greater Sudbury, ON) – The Sudbury Wolves are heading into the final week of the regular season with three games remaining, including two crucial home matchups. On Wednesday, March 19th, the Wolves face the Soo Greyhounds, followed by a game against the Oshawa Generals on Friday, March 21st. Both games are scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
With a 32-28-5-0 record, Sudbury sits in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, three points ahead of the seventh-place Niagara IceDogs. The Wolves are aiming to lock in their playoff spot in the final week.
Goaltending has been a key focus, with Finn Marshall earning second-star honours in a 2-1 win over Peterborough, stopping 31 of 32 shots. On Sunday, Nate Krawchuk made 50 saves in a 3-2 loss to Oshawa, earning third-star honours despite the defeat.
The Soo Greyhounds (26-35-2-2), currently in seventh place in the Western Conference, are fighting for a playoff spot and come into Wednesday’s game on a two-game win streak. Sudbury has won both of their previous home meetings with the Greyhounds this season. Friday’s game against the Oshawa Generals (39-20-4-2), who sit fourth in the Eastern Conference, will be the third meeting between the two teams in three weeks.
