October 19/24 – GUE (2) – KIT (3) – SO
The Storm fall 3-2 in a shoot-out to the rival Rangers.
The Storm had a 2-goal lead courtesy of Jake Karabela and Parker Snelgrove before Cameron Mercer got the Rangers on the board. An early third-period goal by Rylan Singh would be waived off after video review, followed by the Rangers quickly tying the game. Overtime wasn’t enough for the closely fought match. Jake Karabela was the lone Storm player to score in the shootout, while Tanner Lam and Trent Swick lifted Kitchener to come away with the win. Rookie goaltender Colin Ellsworth made his Sleeman Centre debut with 16 saves.
