Storm select Daniil Skvortsov 27th Overall in 2024 CHL Import Draft
General Manager George Burnett has announced that the Storm have selected Russian defenceman Daniil Skvortsov with the 27th overall pick in the 2024 CHL Import Draft.
A 6’4, 200lb left-handed defenceman from Kalgua, Russia spent the past season with the Krasnaya Armiya Moskva in the MHL, which is the top junior hockey league in Russia. Daniil was the Captain of the U16 and U17 Russian National Team the past two seasons.
“Daniil fills a very specific need for our hockey club,” said General Manager George Burnett. “A left-shot defenceman who brings a combination of great size, puck-moving ability, and compete. Even as a young player, he played very successfully last season in the top Russian junior league.”
