Storm host Pride Night with Out on the Shelf on Friday, February 27
The Guelph Storm and Out on the Shelf are proud to host Pride Night on February 27th as the Niagara IceDogs visit the Sleeman Centre. Join us as we celebrate inclusivity and diversity within the Guelph community.
Out on the Shelf will have a table set up in the Community Corner at the top of section 116, where fans can visit their booth, learn more about the work they do in our community, and pick up special Heated Rivarly-themed stickers through donations at the table.
Nationally, approximately 4.4% of Canadians aged 15 and older identify as part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, and that includes many of our fans and neighbours here in Guelph. This community also includes athletes, staff, and volunteers who contribute to the world of sport every day. Pride night with Out on the Shelf is one way we recognize and welcome a community that is already part of both Guelph and the broader hockey community.
The game will feature displays of the pride flag on the LED ribbon board and the video board, as well as music predominantly by queer artists that many know and love.
