Storm acquire William Haley from the Petes
GUELPH – General Manager George Burnett announced today that the Guelph Storm have acquired defenseman William Haley from the Peterborough Petes in exchange for a 13th-round pick (Guelph) in the 2027 OHL Priority Selection.
The 2005-born defender from Cobourg, Ontario was originally selected by the Mississauga Steelheads in the first round (13th overall) in the 2022 U18 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. In two seasons in the OHL, split between the Steelheads and the Petes, the 6-foot-1, 185lbs blueliner has recorded five points and 33 PIMs in 47 regular season games.
Prior to his OHL career, Haley was a product of the OJHL’s Pickering Panthers program where he recorded 14 points (1 goal and 13 assists) in 46 games.
