Matt Poitras to represent Team Canada at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship
Hockey Canada announced today that Matt Poitras will join Team Canada at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship in Sweden. The tournament will take place from December 26 to January 5th.
The Brooklin, Ontario native has appeared in 27 games with the Boston Bruins this season, recording 5 goals and 8 assists for 13 points.
Poitras, a second-round selection of the Boston Bruins in 2022, appeared in 63 games with the Storm last season notching 16 goals and 79 assists for 95 points to lead the team.
Team Canada is set to open the tournament on Boxing Day when they take on Team Finland.
