Poitras makes his NHL Debut with the Boston Bruins
Storm forward Matt Poitras made his NHL debut on Wednesday in the Boston Bruins 2023 home opener.
Poitras played 14:50, recorded 2 shots, and registered his first point with an assist as the Bruins defeated the Blackhawks 3-1 on home ice.

Last season, Poitras established a new career high with 95 points. His 79 assists were the fourth most in the CHL and he surpassed Storm alumni for the third-highest assist total in one season in Storm history. At the team’s annual awards banquet, Poitras took home some hardware, including the Top Scorer Award, the Owen’s Corning Tony Camilleri Playmaker Award, and the Paul Fendley Scholastic Player of the Year Award.
