8 Players Attending NHL Rookie Camps and Prospect Tournaments
After wrapping up the first four games of the 2023 pre-season, eight members of the Guelph Storm will head out to various NHL rookie camps.
Newly drafted, Cam Allen will attend the Washington Capitals camp alongside Jake Karabela. The Storm have another pair of players attending the Canucks camp, including 2023 fourth-round pick Vilmer Alriksson and free agent Braeden Bowman. 2022 NHL draft picks Matt Poitras and Michael Buchinger will head out to their respective clubs for another rookie camp.
The Storm have two more free agents set to attend camp. Max Namestnikov received an invitation to the Pittsburgh Penguins camp after attending two camps through the summer. Ryan McGuire also received an invitation with the Minnesota Wild.
