2023 Kubota Canada Community Hero Contest includes a local finalist
For the past five years, Kubota has recognized community heroes across the country – the hard-working people who make a difference by doing good. For the third year, Kubota Canada is continuing that tradition in 2023 in partnership with the Canadian Hockey League by honouring a new group of heroes who make a difference in their communities.
Local finalist Della Karen Campbell of Hillsburgh, Ontario is the co-founder of Everdale, a non-profit teaching farm. Everdale strives to build food resilience in local communities by operating a productive farm, growing food for those in need, and offering programs and services that increase the capacity for people to become impactful innovators. In addition, they’ve helped several urban communities start their own not-for-profit community farms, offering similar programs and services to Everdale!
