Callahan was to fly to Portland, ME last night to join New York’s AHL affiliate Hartford WolfPack in their Atlantic Division best-of-seven series versus the Portland Pirates.

Ryan will be re-acquainted with teammate Ryan MacDonald and former teammate Dan Girardi.  MacDonald signed an Amateur Tryout Agreement last week.

Callahan won the OHL Overage Player of the year award after a 52-32-84 season (with 126 PIMs). His 52 goals were a Guelph Storm team record.
 
The Rochester, NY native was a 4th Round selection of the Rangers in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
