“Katie joined the organization last season, and her role is now extended to fully support the player experience with respect to billet families,” said General Manager Dylan Seca. “Katie will also share her passion and knowledge for mental health, providing extended support to our players, families, and billet families.”[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Player Development and Performance Consultant\u2013 Jordan Hill” tab_id=”1785444707763-bc7829fc-ab09″][vc_column_text css=””]The Sting are excited to welcome back alumnus Jordan Hill to the coaching staff as a Player Development and Performance Consultant. Hill will work alongside existing development coach and Vegas Golden Knights Skills Coach Scott Jones to deliver year-round player development and skill planning. A respected NHL skills coach, Hill brings extensive experience working with professional and elite-level players as a performance consultant.<\/p>\n

“We’re thrilled to welcome Jordan back to the organization,” said Seca. “Jordan’s experience working with NHL and elite-level players, combined with his passion for player development, will be an incredible asset to our players and coaching staff. Alongside Scott Jones, he will help provide year-round support, planning, and development opportunities that will benefit our entire organization.”[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Assistant Goalie Coach \u2013 Joe Raaymakers” tab_id=”1785444759868-6c246c09-39ad”][vc_column_text css=””]The Sting have named Joe Raaymakers as Assistant Goalie Coach. A local coach with Future Pro Goalie Academy and an educator, Raaymakers will work closely with Goaltending Coach Rob Beatty to continue advancing the club’s goaltending program.<\/p>\n

“Joe is a young and dedicated local goalie coach who combines his expertise with Future Pro Goalie Academy and his background as an educator,” said Seca. “We believe the tandem of Rob Beatty and Joe will make our goalie development program one of the best in the league.”[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Special Advisor \u2013 Jason Brooks” tab_id=”1785444789682-42404182-c128″][vc_column_text css=””]Jason Brooks has been promoted to a Special Advisor, expanding his responsibilities within Hockey Operations and the club’s scouting department. In his new role, Brooks will support all hockey operations initiatives while continuing to play a key role in player evaluation and recruitment.<\/p>\n

\u201cJason\u2019s role has been adjusted to Special Advisor. He will support all Hockey Operations and Scouting projects. He brings his experience as both a coach and manager in this league, we value his dedication and opinion\u201d[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Assistant Equipment Manager \u2013 Ty Simmons” tab_id=”1785851229875-a11d9096-eddd”][vc_column_text css=””]Ty joins the organization as an Assistant Equipment Manager after spending portions of last season supporting the team. A Sports Management student at Lambton College, Ty brings valuable experience from his previous roles as Head Equipment Manager for the Sarnia Legionnaires and as a volunteer with the London Nationals of the GOHL.<\/p>\n

“We’re excited to officially welcome Ty to the organization,” said Seca. “He has already proven to be a dedicated and dependable member of our team, and his experience at multiple levels of junior hockey has prepared him well for this role. A former OHL player and experienced coach, Deschamps brings extensive knowledge of the region and its players.<\/p>\n

“Rob will return in a formal capacity as the SCTA\/OMHA scout for the hockey club,” said Seca. “As a coach and former OHL player, his attention to detail and knowledge of the players in his area will be very important.”[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”New York Scout \u2013 Andrew Romano” tab_id=”1785444847717-da4d6daa-fe7b”][vc_column_text css=””]Andrew Romano joins the Sting scouting staff as the club’s New York State Scout. Romano will oversee player identification throughout New York while assisting Chicago-based scout Matt Grainda with player recruitment and evaluation across the United States.<\/p>\n

“Andrew will look after New York State and assist Chicago-based scout Matt Grainda with player recruitment and evaluation at all levels,” said Seca. “As a coach and lead recruiter for the prestigious BK Selects program, Andrew will bring his wealth of player information to the Sting.”[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Co-Directors of Analytics \u2013 Jack Bernardo & Michael Renaud” tab_id=”1785444866814-537ce820-3897″][vc_column_text css=””]The Sting are pleased to announce Jack Bernardo and Michael Renaud as Co-Directors of Analytics. “The hockey club is thrilled to announce that longtime Director of Analytics Dave MacPherson has accepted a role with the New York Rangers,” said Seca. “As we continue to grow our analytics department, Jack Bernardo and Michael Renaud will bring valuable experience in team-based analytics and Sports Administration. Their knowledge and expertise will play an important role in supporting both team performance initiatives and player development projects.”[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Team Dietitian \u2013 Olivia McAllister” tab_id=”1785444890302-040b98af-3395″][vc_column_text css=””]The Sting continues to strengthen their player performance department with the addition of Olivia McAllister as Team Dietitian. This year’s contributions will benefit 32 local organizations and one scholarship, helping strengthen programs and opportunities for youth and families throughout the Sarnia-Lambton community.<\/p>\n

“We are incredibly proud to give back over $130,000 to 32 vital organizations that do so much to support youth across our community,” said Cam Gordon, President of Sting Assists. “These funds are a direct result of the generosity of Sarnia Sting fans who support our draws and initiatives at home games throughout the season. Being able to turn that game-day energy into meaningful support for local youth and groups is exactly why Sting Assists exists, and we are grateful to everyone who helped make this impact possible.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
