We’re painting the Hive Blue in support of Lambton College & Mental Health
SARNIA, ON – Lambton College plans to take the Progressive Auto Sales Arena from a buzz to a roar during an upcoming Sarnia Sting game.
On Wednesday, October 12, the College is hosting Lions Night @ The Sting as they take on the Owen Sound Attack in regular season action.
The fun-filled event will see Sting players hit the ice outfitted in blue limited edition Lambton Lions jerseys featuring the Sting logo. These specialty game worn jerseys will be auctioned off online all in support of the Lambton College Foundation initiatives that support student mental health. The auction will go live beginning Wednesday night at 7pm and run until Sunday, October 16th at 8:00pm est.
Follow the online auction and place your bids here.
Organizers say that Lions Night @ Sting will be more than a hockey game, and they have worked hard to ensure fans are treated to a full Lambton College experience. The first 2,000 guests in the arena will receive a custom rally towel. In addition to creating a sea of blue in the stands, spectators will also be treated to entertaining intermission games, concourse tables, special prizes, and a Chuck-a-Puck fundraiser which will benefit mental health support funds for Lambton College students!
“This is a great opportunity to bring the Lambton College spirit out into the community,” said Rob Kardas, President & CEO, Lambton College. “I’m looking forward to cheering on the Sting surrounded by our students, employees, partners, and fans from all over Sarnia-Lambton.”
Sting President Bill Abercrombie said the organization is thankful for the continued support of community partners like Lambton.
“Lambton College is a pillar in our community, we are very grateful to call them our neighbour and for their continued support of Sting hockey,” he said. “We look forward to the opportunity to showcase our partnership pride on the ice during an Ontario Hockey League game, it will certainly be a fun night for all.” “
