Tenute Takes Home Player of the Week Honours For Second Time in February
Toronto – The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Sarnia Sting forward Joey Tenute is the OHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday February 16 after scoring three goals and five assists for eight points in three games.
Tenute, who was also named player of the week on February 2, started the week with a pair of goals, including the game-winner, in a 5-3 win over the Belleville Bulls on February 13. He added a goal and two assists in a 5-3 win over the Guelph Storm on Valentine’s Day and concluded the week with three assists, including a helper on the game-winning goal, in a 5-2 win over the Erie Otters on February 16.
The 19-year-old Hamilton native is tied for fourth in the OHL scoring race with 31 goals and 54 assists for 85 points in 56 games.
