TENUTE NAMED OHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Toronto – The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Sarnia Sting forward Joey Tenute is the OHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday February 2 after scoring six goals and four assists for 10 points in three games.
Tenute opened the week with a hat trick, including the game-winning goal, and an assist in a 7-3 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds on January 30. He followed up with a pair of assists in a 6-3 win over the Kitchener Rangers on January 31 and concluded the week with a hat trick, including the game-winner once again, and an assist in a 7-3 win over the Saginaw Spirit on February 2.
Tenute, a 19-year-old native of Hamilton, improved his team-leading totals to 26 goals and 47 assists for 73 points in 50 games this season.
