Sting Winning Streak Stopped at Four Games

The Sarnia Sting saw it’s 4 game winning streak and a 5 game undefeated streak come to a halt Thursday night before 3930 spectators at the SSEC.
The Sting got off on the right foot when defenceman Dave Pszenyczny (11th) jammed home a rebound on the power play at 4:46 of the 1st period to give the Sting it’s only lead of the night at 1-0.
After that goal the Sting saw the Whalers scored 6 straight goals 5 of them on the powerplay.


Chad LaRose nothched his 53rd and 54th of the season, rookie forward John Vigilante also had a pair while James Wisniewski and Karl Stewart had singles to round out the Whaler scoring.
Colin Baker (3rd) replied late in the 3rd for the other Sting tallie on the powerplay.
Robert Gherson started in goal for the Sting and was replaced in the 3rd by Ryan Munce, while Paul Drew was between the pipes for the Whalers recording the victory.
The Sting are back in action and look to start a new winning streak Saturday night at the SSEC vs. the London Knights, game time is 7:30.
