STING FALL TO SPITS – END HOME WINNING STREAK
The Sarnia Sting ended their 6 game home winning streak Friday losing to the visiting Windsor Spitfires by a score of 3 – 0 before 4,103 fans at the SSEC in Sarnia. The Spits now move within 2 points of the Sting for second place in the West Division.
The game didn’t see the first goal until 18:55 of the first when the Spit’s Josh Gratton scored on a power play goal.
Tim Gleason made it 2-0 towards the end of the second period at 18:09.
Phil Gibson would add the Spitfire’s third goal of the game at 4:05 in the third.
Ryan Munce started in net for the Sting and faced 32 shots. Ryan Aschaber played a solid game in net for the Spitfires facing 33 shots.
The Sting will be right back home again Saturday night at the SSEC when they face the Kingston Frontenacs.
