Jacob Perreault tabbed for first round in Sportsnet’s Final 2020 NHL Draft Rankings
Sam Cosentino’s picks are in, and if things go the way he’s envisioning, the OHL will be well-represented in the first round of next week’s 2020 NHL Draft.
A total of nine OHL players are included in his top-31, with Sudbury Wolves centreman Quinton Byfield leading the way at number three. Ottawa’s Marco Rossi, Erie’s Jamie Drysdale, Saginaw’s Cole Perfetti and Ottawa’s Jack Quinn are also included inside the top-10. The last time the Ontario Hockey League had five players chosen in the top-10 of the NHL Draft was 2010 when Taylor Hall (Edmonton/Windsor), Tyler Seguin (Boston/Plymouth), Erik Gudbranson (Florida/Kingston), Jeff Skinner (Carolina/Kitchener) and Alex Burmistrov (Atlanta/Barrie) were all chosen within the top eight selections.
Sarnia Sting sniper Jacob Perreault follows further down the list at number 21 while Hamilton’s Jan Mysak (29), Barrie’s Tyson Foerster (30) and Luke Evangelista (31) could also sneak into the first round.
