Munce and Carcillo Play Key Roles in Canadian Victory
Two members of the Sting played key roles today in the 5-0 Team Canada victory over Team Switzerland at the World Under 18 Championships in Russia.
Sting goaltender Ryan Munce made 27 saves earning his first international win and shutout. Munce has been the number one goaltender for Team Canada going the distance in net for 3 of the 4 games. He was Team Canada’s player of the game in a 5-3 loss to Russia to open the tournament.
Sting forward Daniel Carcillo also had his best game of the tournament recording his first international points. Carcillo had a goal and an assist in the winning effort.

Canada has finished round robin play with a record of 2-1-1 and will play its first playoff game on Saturday with the opponent still to be determined.
