Five Current Sting Heading to NHL Camps
Five members of the current Sarnia Sting squad will head to NHL Camps this week.
Adam Ruzicka, property of the Calgary flames after they selected him in the fourth round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, will head to Calgary for the Flames Prospect Camp beginning September 9th at Winsport – Canadian Olympic Park. Details It is expected that Ruzicka will also attend Flames Main Camp opening Sept 14th.
Maple Leafs 2017 draft selection Ryan McGregor will participate in the Rookie Showdown which includes prospects from the Leafs, Canadiens and Senators at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec. The Leafs will play Montreal at 3 p.m. on Sept. 8 and Ottawa at 3 p.m. on Sept. 9. Details: Mcgregor is also expected to join the Leafs at the MasterCard Centre for Main Training Camp o opening September 12th.
Three other members of the Sting have been invited to NHL prospects camps as free agent invites. 98′ born defencemen Mitch Eliot and Theo Calvas will both head to Traverse City to represent the Carolina Hurricanes at the Rookie Tournament. Participating in this showcase also includes prospects from the Columbus Blue Jackets, Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild & New York Rangers. Details
Sting 98′ born forward Anthony Salinitri will sport blue and green as he was invited to represent the Canucks as a free agent in the Young Stars Classic at the South Okanagan Events Centre, Penticton, BC – September 7-9, 2018/ Details.
