Carcillo and Munce Named to Under 18 Team
Two members of the Sarnia Sting have been chosen to represent Canada at the 2003 IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation) World Under 18 Hockey Championship, taking place April 12 22 in Yaroslavl, Russia.
Forward Daniel Carcillo and goaltender Ryan Munce were among the 22 players named to the team.
Canada’s 2003 World Championship Under-18 Team is comprised of players under 18 years old (born in 1985) whose teams are not competing in either the CHL, Junior A or collegiate playoffs.
The team will get together this Saturday and Sunday for practices, Saturday at the Air Canada Centre from 9 10 am and Sunday at the Beatrice Ice Gardens from 10 11:15 am.
