Tourism Sarnia-Lambton and the Sarnia Sting Partner to Bring Hockey Canada Rivalry Series to Sarnia
Hockey Canada, in partnership with USA Hockey, has announced the return of the Rivalry Series between Canada’s National Women’s Team and the United States for the 2023-24 season. Lead by Tourism Sarnia-Lambton in partnership with the Sarnia Sting Hockey Club the organizations are excited to bring this national event to Sarnia and the Progressive Auto Sales Arena Saturday, December 16th at 5pm ET.
The 2023-24 Rivalry Series will feature seven games, with Canada set to play host in Ontario and Saskatchewan in December and February, respectively. The first Canadian stop will see the cross-border rivals face off at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium in Kitchener, ON, home of the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. ET. Both teams will travel to Sarnia, ON, to play at Progressive Auto Sales Arena, home of the OHL’s Sarnia Sting, on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 5 p.m. ET.
TSN and RDS, the official broadcast partners of Hockey Canada, will broadcast all seven Rivalry Series games; please check local listings for details.
A very limited number of tickets for the game in Sarnia at Progressive Auto Sales Arena will go on sale to the public in a first batch ticket release Friday, October 6th at 10 am ET through the Mainstreet Credit Union Sarnia Sting Box Office. Due to high expected high demand and limited number of tickets please note there is a four (4) ticket limit per order.

Season Ticket Holders will have until Friday, October 13th at 5pm to redeem their exclusive offer. If Season Ticket Holders do not redeem their exclusive offer through one of the methods described above by the October 13th deadline. The tickets will be released for sale to the public in the second ticket release batch. .
Last year’s Rivalry Series ended in thrilling fashion, with Canada’s National Women’s Team winning four-straight games to win the series after dropping the opening three games. The Canadian games welcomed an average attendance of approximately 5,000 fans per game in Kelowna, Kamloops, Trois-Rivières and Laval, including sell-outs in Kelowna and Trois-Rivières. Ottawa and Kingston also hosted Rivalry Series games in November 2021 that featured sold-out crowds.
