Sting Complete Trade With Niagara IceDogs

Sarnia Sting General Manager Dylan Seca announced today that the Hockey Club has acquired a 5th round pick in the 2025 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection in exchange for Sting forward Sean Doherty.

On the trade Seca shares,

“We anticipated some very hard decisions this training camp. A trade like this is an example of the type of depth we have now established in the organization which then brings the difficult decisions to move a player who’s been nothing short of a professional since his draft day. He has great character and a player we do believe still has something to prove within the OHL. We wish Sean and the Doherty family all the best.”
