Games Notes – Game Preview September 27, 2026 VS Ottawa 67’s

The Sting are looking to close out the Eastern road trip with a win over the Ottawa 67’s tonight at TD Place Arena. After winning their most recent matchup against the Kingston Frontenacs 5-3, Easton Walos continued his impressive start to the season with two goals, extending his point streak to three games (3-2-5). Parker Holmes, Brenner Lammens and Cameron Aucoin also found the back of the net, while Wyatt Herres scored his first career OHL goal.

Goaltender Kale Osipenko made his first start of the season count, stopping 26 of 29 shots to earn his first victory of the year. The Sting will look for another strong performance between the pipes as they wrap up their road swing in Ottawa.

Captain Alessandro Di Iorio has also continued to make an impact since returning from Columbus Blue Jackets training camp, recording two points in his first two games of the season. Jack Van Volsen enters tonight riding a three-game point streak, while Chase Gaughan and Adrian Sgro have each recorded assists in back-to-back games.

The 67’s are led by a young group that includes 2025 first-round selection Carson Carels, while veterans and returning players will look to provide experience as Ottawa continues to establish its identity early in the season.
