Brown Scores Three In Comeback Bid, London Holds On To Beat Sarnia 6-3

Ryan Brown scored three power play goals in a come back bid, but in the end, it was too little to late and the London Knights escaped with a 6-3 win, in pre-season play, Friday night at Budweiser Gardens.
Brown started with an unassisted goal at 19:03 in the second period and then added two more in the final stanza at 9:08 from both Lane Sim and James Barr and at 15:30 from Barr and Tyson Doucette. It was Brown’s 3rd, 4th and 5th of the pre-season. Barr had a pair of assists.
London scored six unanswered goals in the first two periods before the Sting mounted there come-back bid. Evan Van Gorp netted a hat-trick for the Knights as part of a four-point night.
Nick Surzycia started in net for Sarnia and he made 21 saves on 24 shots in 32:21. Evan Maillet, finished in goal playing 27:39 and turned aside 9 saves on 12 shots. London out-shot Sarnia 36-30.
The Sting went 3/7 with the man advantage and were one better in the face-off dot, 24-23. Sarnia returns home to Progressive Auto Sales Arena to wrap up the pre-season slate in a re-match with London Saturday night.
