2020 First Round Pick Max Namestnikov Commits to Sting
SARNIA, ON. The Sarnia Sting announced today that 2020 first round selection Max Namestnikov has signed an Ontario Hockey League standard player agreement with the Hockey Club and is set to suit up for the black and yellow in the 2020-21 season.

With the 3rd overall selection in the 2020 Ontario Hockey League Draft, the Sarnia Sting claimed the rights to a dynamic skilled forward in the 2004 born draft class. Today, the Club is pleased to announce that 3rd overall selection Max Namestnikov has signed an Ontario Hockey League Standard Player Agreement committing to the Sting.
The Detroit Honeybaked product had a standout 2019-20 season. In a combined 72 games the skilled and slippery forward tallied 65 goals and 86 assists for 151 points.

He was one of the top players on an outstanding Detroit Honeybaked team this past season. Max has professional bloodlines as the younger brother of current Colorado Avalanche winger Vladislav Namestnikov. His father, Evgeny Namestnikov, and uncle Slava Kozlov also played in the NHL.

Namestnikov will wear number 81 for the Sting next season.
