WESTLAND INSURANCE COMMUNITY PLAYER OF THE MONTH: SPENCER SOVA
The Brampton Steelheads proudly announce that Spencer Sova has been named the Westland Insurance Community Player of the Month for November!
Sova, the former Erie Otters’ captain, is no stranger to helping out within his local community. During his time with the Otters, Spencer participated in numerous community givebacks and demonstrated the qualities of a great leader. Since joining the Steelheads this season, he has continued to showcase his leadership by positively impacting the Brampton community.
In November, Spencer attended a practice with the Brampton Minor Hockey Association. Working with U9 Tier 1 Brampton 45s Pilot Project, a team partnership with Hockey Canada’s Learn to Play Program, Sova spent the practice helping the kids with their specific drills, skating and overall skill development. Alongside demonstrating the power of hard work, Spencer also incorporated some fun into the practice, ensuring all the young players left the ice with a smile.
Through his commitment to the Brampton community and dedication to the development of the game, we are excited to name Spencer Sova as Westland Insurance Community Player of the Month!
“It’s great to be recognized as community player of the month. I’ve had a great time working with youth teams, food banks and communities. As a hockey player I feel it is important to help out in any way I can to make the community around me stronger. Personally it always feels good to do these events to give back and make a difference and I love taking time out of my day to do so.” Commented Spencer Sova.
Congratulations Spencer!
