WESTLAND INSURANCE COMMUNITY PLAYER OF THE MONTH: FINN HARDING
The Brampton Steelheads proudly announce that Finn Harding has been named the Westland Insurance Community Player of the Month for December!
In his time with the Steelheads, Harding has proven himself to be a great role model and a key player in community involvements and givebacks. In the month of December, he participated in two community givebacks, including a school visit and volunteering with a local food bank.
While visiting a local elementary school, he spoke with the kids about what it means to be a hockey player. Not only did Finn incorporate some fun into his visit, but he also demonstrated the importance of school by engaging the kids in an interactive storytime session. His visit positively impacted the children he met with and showcased how hockey is more than just an on-ice sport.
In December, Harding also volunteered at the Regeneration Food Back. Understanding the importance of food banks, especially during the holiday season, Finn helped pack and sort food items, which would later be given to those in need. In addition to assisting with the food items, Finn helped generate awareness for food donations by encouraging other community members to bring non-perishable items to the Steelheads’ Christmas game.
Through his dedication to the community over the last few seasons and in December, we are thrilled to announce Finn Harding as the Westland Insurance Community Player of the Month!
“It’s nice to be recognized as community player of the month. I enjoy working with the community, including visiting schools and helping with the food bank. The City of Brampton has been amazing to the Steelheads and it’s just great to give back when the opportunity arises. I really enjoy meeting people around town and talking to the kids about hockey.” Commented Finn Harding.
Congratulations Finn!
