Kids are Taking Over Steelheads Game Day!
Young fans get the chance to be part of the Steelheads’ game-day action
BRAMPTON, ON – Get ready, Steelheads fans! On Saturday, January 31st at 4:00 PM, the Brampton Steelheads are taking on the Oshawa Generals and giving young fans an unforgettable opportunity to take center ice during Kids Takeover Day at the CAA Centre. This unique event lets kids experience what it takes to run a professional hockey game while stepping into real, behind-the-scenes roles that bring the action to life.
Kids Takeover Day isn’t just about watching the game; it’s about becoming part of it. Selected participants will get hands-on experience in a variety of roles, working alongside the Steelheads staff to keep the energy high and the game running smoothly. From pre-game preparations to in-game entertainment, every participant will play a key part in creating an exciting and engaging experience for fans.
Some of the exciting roles kids can take on include:
- Warm-Up Coach – helping the team get ready to hit the ice and prepare for battle
- PA Announcer – energizing the crowd with announcements and keeping fans in the loop
- DJ / Goal Horn Attendant – running the music and goal celebrations to hype the arena
- Social Media Side-Kick – capturing the action on camera and sharing it with fans online
- Junior In-Game Host – leading fan contests and entertainment during intermissions
- Junior Radio Announcer – calling the action from the broadcast booth
Kids will get a front-row view of the teamwork, coordination, and excitement that goes into every Steelheads game. It’s a rare chance to learn, lead, and be part of a professional hockey operation, all while creating memories that will stay with them for years to come.
