2026 U18 Draft
BRAMPTON, ON – The Steelheads added 2 new prospects in the OHL’s Under 18 Selection on Monday night. Brampton held the 3rd and 23rd overall picks in the draft.
In the 1st round at 3rd overall, the Steelheads added Zaiden Hraiche of Burlington Eagles U18 AAA. The 2009-born left-shot left wing recorded 64 points (32G, 32A) in 33 games for the Eagles this season. At 6’0”, 172 lbs, Hraiche also added 6 points (1G, 5A) in 6 playoff games.
In the 2nd round at 23rd overall, Brampton selected 5’11”, 170 lbs center Reid Gillespie. In 31 games with Southern Tier Admirals, recorded 29 points (12G, 17A).
