Owen Sound Attack – up nine spots to #5 this week
It’s the time of year when the power rankings get a little crazy! The Owen Sound Attack are cruising, off to a 4-0 start having defeated the Barrie Colts twice while handing the Kitchener Rangers their first loss. The power line of Jake Crawford, Harry Nansi and Masen Wray has been giving opponents fits in the opening weeks of the season.
Kingston Frontenacs – up two spots to #6 this week
The Fronts took three of a possible four points, falling 5-4 in a shootout to the Soo Greyhounds on Friday before defeating the North Bay Battalion 2-1 in front of a tremendous OHL debut from goaltender Matt Minchak, who made 42 saves.
Soo Greyhounds – up three spots to #7 this week
The road trip didn’t end the way they’d hoped, but the Soo Greyhounds took two of three on their East Division trip, topping Peterborough 3-0 and Kingston 5-4 in a shootout before falling 7-3 in Ottawa on Sunday. Jordan Charron had a productive week, pulling into a tie for the league goal-scoring lead with five.
Ottawa 67’s – up nine spots to #8 this week
Perhaps the early-season surprise of the OHL, the Ottawa 67’s are out of the gate with three straight wins, continuing their success by defeating North Bay 3-1 and Sault Ste. Marie 7-3. Last week’s OHL Rookie of the Week, Thomas Vandenberg leads the club with six points (4-2–6) in the early going. The 67’s have a light schedule in the opening weeks of the season, but 10 of their first 13 games are on the road.
Oshawa Generals – up one spot to #12 this week
The Gennies overwhelmed the Guelph Storm 7-1 on Friday as rookie Jalen Lobo led the way with four points (1-3–4). They returned home Sunday night, coming up short against the top-ranked Windsor Spitfires in a 4-1 loss.

The Battalion fell 3-1 to the visiting Ottawa 67’s on Friday before running into a hot goaltender against Matt Minchak and the Kingston Frontenacs on Sunday, losing 2-1. North Bay’s 2-0 start has been erased. The Troops look to head back in a winning direction on Friday night in Sudbury.
Barrie Colts – down four spots to #10 this week
The Colts lost to Owen Sound in a shootout before regulation losses at the hands of Windsor and the same Attack to close out the weekend on Sunday. Dylan Smoskowitz’s club prepares for a week of action at home, with Sault Ste. Marie and Oshawa visiting Sadlon Arena.

Saginaw Spirit – down five spots to #14 this week
The Spirit picked up a point in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Niagara IceDogs at home on Friday before a poor showing Saturday against Guelph, losing to the Storm by a score of 7-3. Newcomer Egor Barabanov is the OHL’s top scorer coming out of September with nine points (3-6–9) over four contests. The Spirit hit the road for a three-in-three next weekend with stops in Guelph, Owen Sound and Oshawa.
Flint Firebirds – down five spots and off the list this week
Flint fell 4-0 at home to the Niagara IceDogs on Saturday before a 7-4 loss at the hands of the Sarnia Sting on Sunday.
